I like funny folks. I like spending time in their company - be that watching professional comedians, hanging out with amusing friends, or laughing at fictional creations. Personally I've written a lot of 'funny books' and humour is a subject I'll no doubt return to again, but in How to Think When you WRITE FIGURES OF FUN I'm taking a look at comedy archetypes and the value of an amusing supporting player.

There's a lot of fun to be had in crafting a humorous character, so let's dive right in.
