Hey everyone, I feel incredibly lucky to be here once again, thanking you all for your INCREDIBLE GENEROSITY, which raised £539,000 ($680,000 at today's exchange rate), which is just mind blowing.
Thank you all for this astounding support, to the long-time supporters of the series who have been coming back to help the encyclopedia grow each year, and to the new collectors for whom this is their first How to THINK Kickstarter, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You are of course supporting the books, but perhaps more importantly you're all contributing to the building of the world's only FREE online ENCYCLOPEDIA of DRAWING tutorials. After over 7 years of daily work, this is becoming a resource which no longer just rivals, but now surpasses even the best paid art school drawing courses in both depth and scope, and without your support of these books, none of that would be possible. By funding my work on this project so generously, you're gifting that free resource to hundreds of thousands of artists around the world who would never be able to afford books like these, let alone a formal art education. We're bringing about a real change for artists for whom there is no prospect of a funded education, and this is reflected in the many messages I receive daily from creators of all abilities who use the How to THINK tutorials as a part of their creative process.
